Seifert-Short Museum and Learning Center Holiday Exhibit
The exhibit of Ethnic Dolls & Folk Art from many countries can be seen every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday in January 2012 from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. As a gift to the community and its visitors, there will not be an admission charge to view this exhibit.

Bumper Bowling Club
The Ten Pin Alley Bowling Center located at 192 Clifty Dr., Madison, invites children to join this club which will meet weekly at 11:00 AM on Saturdays for 12 weeks beginning January 7, 2012. The cost will be $6.00 per week with a $20.00 registration fee. Participating kids will get shoe rentals, will bowl 2 games, and can earn awards and prizes. Jefferson County Publc Library Storytime Programs
Registration is required and begins January 9th. Toddlers from 24 - 35 months of age and their caregivers will meet on Tuesdays at 10:30 AM from January 24 - February 21st. Preschoolers aged 3 - 6 years will meet on Wednesdays at 10:00 AM from January 25 - February 22nd at the Madison branch. At the Hanover branch, preschoolers aged 3-6 years will meet on Thursdays at 10:30 AM from January 26 - February 23rd. Each session will last for about 30 - 40 minutes. Madison Junior High School Annual Super Bowl Pizza Sale
This fundraiser is now underway. Contact a Madison Junior High student to order your pizzas by Thursday, January 26th. Pizzas will be available after February 3rd.

MCHS FAFSA Workshop
Madison Consolidated High School will host a FAFSA Workshop on Thursday, January 26th at 6:30 PM in the high school cafeteria. All area seniors and their parents or guardians are invited and encouraged to attend. For more info, call : 812-265-6672 ext. 4079.

Trinity United Methodist Church Presents "Travels in Northern China" Lecture
On Sunday, January 29th, Carole Williams, an art teacher at Shawe, will be speaking about her most recent trip to Northern China. Everyone is welcome to attend and learn about another culture and country. The program will begin at 9:00 AM in Trinity's Fellowship Hall.

The Little Grand Theatre Company Production

Cincinnati Opera Company Performance
The Madison Performing Arts Foundation proudly presents the Cincinnati Opera Company and their production, "Opera Redux : Porgy and Bess". This is a free performance that will be held at the Madison Consolidated High School Auditrorium on Friday, February 3rd at 7:00 PM. Call for info : 812-866-3570.

Habitat ReStore E-Cycle Event
This Habitat for Humanity of Jefferson County electronic recycling program will be held this year from Saturday, February 11th through Tuesday, February 14th during the following hours : Saturday from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Sunday from 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Monday & Tuesday from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Bring your computers, printers, TV's, radios, cell phones, or any other electronic device to the Habitat ReStore located at 931 Lanier Drive. Responsibly recycling these items is offered at no charge to anyone, but donations are welcome. This recycling event will help raise money for more Habitat homes. Yale University Professor Dr. John Mack Faragher Keynote Address
The Rivers Institute at Hanover College is partnering with the Indiana Association of Historians (IAH) to bring Dr. Faragher to the Hanover College campus on Saturday, February 18th. He will deliver his keynote address, "The Ohio and the Trans Appalachian West : Images of a Settler Society", at 1:00 PM in the Faculty Dining Room located in the J. Graham Brown Campus Center. Admission is free of charge to the public. If you plan to attend the annual meeting of the IAH, you will need to register. JCTC Adult Education Program Free GED Classes
The Jefferson Community & Technical College in Carrollton is offering free GED classes. Registration is held on Tuesday and Wednesday at 10:00 AM or by appointment. Call : 502-732-7102.

Madison Parks Dept. Senior Citizen Dance Schedule
Dances will be held each Friday night in 2012 at the Brown Gym on Broadway in downtown Madison, IN. Doors open at 5:00 PM and the dances begin at 6:30 PM. The admission charge for each dance will be $3.00 per person. There will be free drinks, snacks and door prizes provided. Musical bands are subject to change without advance notice.

Salvation Army Food Pantry distribution will be held every Wednesday from 3 PM to 630 PM. The pantry will still be open for the normal hours of 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays--by appointment only. Call this number for appts: 265-2157. The pantry is open only to Jefferson County residents. Everyone must have a valid Jefferson Co. ID at the time of pickup.
