of Jefferson County will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday
April 9th.
The meeting dates for the rest of the year are:
May 14, June 11, July 9, August 13, September 10, October
8, November 12, December 12.
The Meeting will begin at 7:30pm
at the American Legion. American Bikers Aimed Toward Education
is
an organization
dedicated to the safety, education and rights of motorcyclists.

Jefferson Co. Soccer Association Soccer Clinic - Held from
5:30 to 6:30pm at the Rucker Sports Complex on Tuesdays &

E.O. Muncie School Fair and Live Auction - Friday April 11
from 5:30 to 8pm. Dinner, games, raffle and live auction.
The auction begins at 7pm and is Open to the Public.

Golf Scramble - Sunday April 27 at Sunrise Golf Course.
Registration begins at 11:30am with a 12:30pm Scramble

Fifth Annual SCC Car Show - May 3rd (Raindate: May 10th)
- Held at the Southeastern Career Center in Versailles.
Registration is from 9 - 12pm and costs $15. Awards will
be given at 2:30pm. The first 50 registered will receive
a free T-shirt. There will also be food, games, music, door
prizes, raffles, and a 50/50 drawing. For more information,

The
Big Oaks Conservation Society and Big Oaks National Wildlife
Refuge are hosting the fourth annual Outdoor Women at Big
Oaks National Wildlife Refuge on Sat. June 7.
This is a one day program designed to offer women ages
14 and over toe opportunity to gain valuable skills in
an environment that encourages fun and success in the outdoors.
There will be camping, fishing, hiking, conoeing, bird
watching, archery, shooting sports, and much more. Registration
forms can be downloaded from www.fws.gov/midwest/bigoaks
or www.bigoaks.org. To have a registration form mailed,
call the office at 812-273-0783. Some classes are limited
in size so registration is recommended to get into first
choice classes. The registration deadline is May 1.
Early bird registration before May 1 is $45.00 after May
1 $50.00. Registration fee includes a choice of 3 courses,
lunch and refreshments, use of equipment and supplies,
day pass to Big Oaks National Wildlife Refuge OWBO tote
bag.
Walk for Life - Sat. May 10. Hosted by the Choices for Women
Resource Center. The first 80 who raise over $50 and register
will receive a free water bottle. The walk will begin at
the center located at 314 St. Michael's Avenue. For more

The Goldenrod Gala Committee is currently seeking applications
for its annual juries arts and crafts festival held at General
Butler State Resort Park on August 30, 2008. To apply for

Volunteers
are needed at the Madison - Jefferson County Animal Shelter.
Cash donations, puppy chow, paper towels, bleach, Dawn
dishwashing liquid (without bleach) would also be helpful.
The shelter is located at 2727 Hannah Drive in Madison
Indiana. Operation hours are 12-5 pm Monday/Thursday/Friday,
noon-4 pm on Saturday, noon-3 pm on Sunday, and closed
Tuesday and Wednesday.
Tired of cooking? Come eat lunch at the Madison Senior Center
208 West Main Street. Lunch is served at 11:30 Monday through
Friday. Call 812-265-5376 for a reservation 9:00 a.m. to
3:30 p.m. Donation for the meal is encouraged. Transportation
is available.
