Brief Description Of Activity And Station Participation:
DCBroadcasting Companies (including WORX and WXGO) President,
Paul E. Knies and VP/GM William C. Potter attended the
IBA Job Fair Saturday October 25, 2007 in Indianapolis,
Indiana. Mr. Knies and Mr. Potter have the say in the hiring
of all employees of DCBroadcasting, Inc. including WORX
and WXGO. In addition to having a booth at the job fair,
many applications were accepted and are held on file. WORX
and WXGO did not have any job opportunites at the time
of the job fair, but we did accept applications. WORX and
WXGO each aired sixty-second announcements on each station
promoting the job fair and encouraging participation by
job seekers and those interested in broadcast careers.

Brief Description Of Activity And Station Participation:
WORX and WXGO
hosted a high school student as an intern for an hour
and fifteen minutes every weekday afternoon
that school was in session for the dates listed above.
The student was a senior at Shawe Memorial High School
and plans on attending college to study communications.
He was given a wide range of exposure to many aspects of
the radio broadcast industry. He worked in each of the
departments with emphasis in production. He was taught
necessary skills needed for broadcast career opportunities.
In total the student was given over 40 hours of broadcast “hands
on” instruction by all WORX and WXGO employees.

Brief Description Of Activity And Station Participation:
WORX and WXGO
hosted a student as a job shadow. While the student spent
most of her time shadowing traffic coordinator,
Kelley Hoagland, she also spent time with each of the station
personnel in different departments. The student participated
as a job shadow as part of the Mayor’s Eagles program
at Eggleston and is interested in a broadcast career. Student
spent an hour each Friday after school at the WORX / WXGO
studios.

Broadcasting Companies (including WORX and WXGO) promoted
and participated
in the Regional Job Fair held in Madison,
IN at the Venture Out Business Center April 26, 2007. General
Manager William C. Potter and Operations Manager Tim Torrance
attended and represented the stations. Mr. Potter has authority
to interview and hire employees for all DCBroadcasting,
Inc. companies and Mr. Torrance has authority to interview
and hire employees for WORX/WXGO radio stations. At the
time of the Regional Job Fair, WORX/WXGO were hiring Account
Executives and On-Air staff. WORX and WXGO aired sixty-second
commercials and P-S-A’s the week of the event on
each WORX andWXGO. WORX also broadcast live from the event
from 11am to 1pm Thursday April 26th.

WORX and WXGO
aired a total of 240 on each station, Public Service
Announcements offering information about the Indiana
Broadcasters Association Scholarship Program. The PSA’s
encouraged high school and college students to apply for
the scholarships. Scholarships were made available to the
public at the WORX/WXGO studios. WORX also made a financial
contribution the Indiana Broadcasters Foundation for the
scholarship program.

Paul Knies and VP/GM Bill Potter participated in the
WorkOne Business Seminar entitled “Bridging
The Generation Gap” with instruction from a Workforce
Development liaison. Topics discussed in training involved
hiring older members of the community and how to train
them.

WorkOne Business Seminar entitled “The Impact
Of Poverty On The Bottom Line” with instruction from
Workforce Development. Topics discussed in training involved
recognizing and training employees who come from poverty
and helping them to break the habits created by cycle of
poverty.
